“Do homage to the Son, that He
not become angry, and you
perish in the way,
For His wrath may soon be
How blessed are all who take
refuge in Him!”
My Bible (NASB reference leatherbound, published by foundation in case you wondered;) ) formats like above.
Being particularly fond of poetry, verse, and rhyme schemes, I’m drawn in by the anticipation from line to the next. Try reading it like a poem.
Read each of the first two lines with the emphasis on the last word. See the juxtaposition. His power. My peril.
And the end. My blessing? His refuge (refuge in Him).
There are lots of ways to read the Bible. I pray that this morning, you’ll be encouraged to seek Him through His word, and encouraged more when you find him there.
